Tomorrowland (Magic Kingdom)

Building on the photo from yesterday, this is the main entrance to Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. Taken from a vantage point further back from the photo yesterday, this gives you the ultimate overview of Tomorrowland at night.

Tomorrowland (Magic Kingdom)

This is the entrance to Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. This is one area that the Florida park demolishes the Disneyland park, especially at night. Other areas are quite similar in the two, but this one stands out. The neon, the noise, the kinetic energy is quite impressive to see.

Straight ahead in the middle of the photo is the Astro-Orbiter, to the left is Stitch's Great Escape, and to the right is the Metropolis Science Center, home of the TimeKeeper.

Japanese Arch (Epcot)

This is the Japanese Arch, across from the Japan Pavillion, at Epcot. Shot with an ultra-wide lens, you can see Spaceship Earth across the Lagoon, way in the distance. A classic Epcot shot from a classic location, but it's still really neat.

Big Thunder Mountain (Magic Kingdom)

Once again we have the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Taken from a walkway on the exit side of the ride, you can almost here the train and the people yelling as it comes right at you. One of my favorite rides in all of WDW!

Disney MGM Studios

This is another signature icon of the Disney MGM Studios. Facing the Great Movie Ride, this scene is to your right and through the arch leads the way to the Backlot Tour, Millionaire, One Man's Dream, and pretty much everything else on Mickey Ave. (or is it Blvd?). Notice the Sorcerer Mickey topiary to the right of the frame.

A Belated Birthday Wish...

Walter Elias Disney was born on 12/5/1901 in Chicago, Ill. In observance of his 104th birthday, I would like to ask any of the viewers if anyone had ever met the man known as "Uncle Walt" and if they would like to share a story. Walt died on 12/15/1966 at the too young age of 65; ten years before I was born. Happy B-day, Uncle Walt, the world misses you.

Main Street Train Station (Magic Kingdom)

This is the first thing you see upon arrival at the Magic Kingdom. Configured differently from the Train Station at DL, the sight of the Station and the sound of the train's whistles let you know that you are FINALLY there. The walkways under the Station serve as a transition from the real world to the wonderful world of Main Street USA.

Big Thunder Mountain (Magic Kingdom)

Finally back with a new post...
This is the view from the queue on Big Thunder Mountain...I managed to capture a rainbow in the geyser across the channel. I really enjoy BTM and the scenery and theming are tremendous.
